CD Art

I had a bunch of CDs that I have never used sitting in my basement. I chose to make some CD art with them. There are lots websites that show CD art with sharpies, but my I decided to use paint instead. You can use the CDs and hang them up on a wall. This project doesn't require too many supplies, and most of them can be found at home.

Materials:
- a CD that you won't be using in the future
- black paint + paintbrush
- a screwdriver

1. Flip your CD over to the shiny side.

2. Paint the CD black. Do two coats so that the CD becomes more opaque.

4. Use the screwdriver to scrape the design out of the paint. You can also add puffy paint to jazz it up a bit.

This is a simple DIY project that anyone can do. It takes less than a day to make!

  1. Woah! The end result looks awesome! Just wondering though, do you have any idea of what to do with the decorated CDs?

  2. This is really cool and maybe you could drill a hole in it and then hang a bunch of them up.
