The Case of the Broken Folder
Materials:
- Cardboard (if you have a very large button, that also works)
- masking tape
- a rubber band (string is easier to use)
1. Because I didn't have a very large button, I was forced to use cardboard. To make the button, cut out 3 congruent pieces of cardboard and poke 2 equidistant holes on each piece. These holes are similar to the ones on the folder.
2. Use masking tape to tape the edges.
4. Knot the rubber band, and you are ready to go!
5. To add some color, you can paint the button.

DeleteThis sounds awesome! These always break for me!
ReplyDeleteI don't use an accordion folder, but still a good idea! You could try wrapping the button in coloured duct tape for durability.
ReplyDeleteNice post! This will be very helpful, Im on my 3rd binder just this year!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cool that you thought of a common problem among students and thought of cool way to fix it! Great post.
