What Will I Remember From Middle School Five Years From Now

This will be my last blog post for a while, but I might post randomly over the summer. For my last assignment of middle school, I have to write about what I will remember about middle school five years from now. There are so many things that I will remember and cherish from the middle school, but these are the top four, not in any specific order.


1.  Camp Kieve
In 6th Grade our whole grade went to camp Kieve for four days. Middle school was new for us, so the camp eased our transition. Everyone bonded together and we all had so much fun!
                                                                                                       

                                                                                                                                                 
2. Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track
I did these sports for the first time in middle school. The sports helped me make so many friends! Our teams, especially in cross country, bonded and became really close.



3. Quebec
Almost all of the 7th graders went to Quebec for four days. We had so much fun. A few of my favorite experiences at quebec were probably the sugar shack, the waterfalls, or just walking around in Quebec City.



4.  And finally...my ELA class!
My ELA class made some great memories over 7th and 8th grade.  Unfortunately, we will all have to separate once we go to high school. :( I have had so much fun in ELA. From dancing and having awesome parties, to learning so many things about grammar, we have done it all!

California Vacation         Usually, my idea of a perfect vacation is staying at home bundled up in a cozy blanket while sipping hot cocoa and watching a movie with my friends or family. Phone Stand/Speaker

Using a toilet paper roll, I created a simple yet cute phone stand and speaker. You can find all of the materials at home and the project does not take too long. Materials: - toilet paper roll - x-acto knife -  decorative tape - 4 tacks 1. Draw a line with two split ends on the toilet paper roll 2. Cut along the line. 3. Cover the toilet paper roll with decorative tape and fold in the slit. 4. Put the tacks on the bottom of the toilet paper roll. 5. Voila! Crayon Art

I used to love using crayons when I was little. I used to scribble everywhere! As I got older, I shifted towards colored pencils and soon my crayons were all stuck in some box that I never opened until now. Most of my crayons were broken in half (Don't you love that satisfying snap of a crayon? My 5-year-old self certainly did.), so I decided to snap all of them to make the crayons even. Materials: - 27 crayons (it doesn't matter if they're broken or not) - a blow dryer - lots of newspaper - a canvas (8 inches by 10 inches) - a hot glue gun 1. Peel the crayons. Yes, I know. It's a long and boring process, but it's worth it for the end product. An easy way to do this is by letting the crayons soak in a bowl of water for 5 minutes. The crayons are usually super easy to peel off after that . 2.  Arrange and hot glue the crayons in rainbow order. 3. Find some silhouettes online, print them, and glue them onto the canvas.
